Chronic fatigue / Allergies

Do you suffer from extreme tiredness, low energy levels, muscle and joint pain or persistent headaches. Are you always feeling under the weather?
Symptoms of CFS, ME or fibromyalgia show significant variation in severity from person to person and from day to day.
Your tiredness, foggy brain or difficulty concentrating may be caused by various factors : allergies, hormonal changes, thyroid issues, stress, depression, mental fatigue, lack of quality sleep, post viral syndrome, deficient immune system…
The key to getting better is to find the underlying causes of your health issues. Naturopathy focuses on seeking out the root cause of your symptoms and spotting any underlying imbalances in your body, giving you the help you need to improve your overall health and quality of life.

The importance of sleep : Not getting enough or sufficiently restful sleep will increase the challenge of physical or mental tasks. This may be caused by a disruption to your endocrine system, typically a general suppression of the hypothalamic/pituitary/adrenal (HPA) axis which is often associated with adrenal fatigue. You might also suffer from thyroid imbalances. The thyroid gland is responsible for the metabolism of every cell in the body and the regulation of fuel sources. Good thyroid function is therefore essential to good health.

The importance of an optimal liver function : The toxic load of the liver is an important consideration in chronic fatigue with a possible increase in burden from bacteria and viruses, as well as a associated antibody responses to the presence of heavy metals, which may be disrupt endocrine function.

The importance of mental health : Stress and anxiety are also often a trigger in chronic fatigue syndrome.

The importance of a strong immune system and feeding your body with the nutrients it needs: One of the causes of fatigue is anaemia. A deficiency in vitamins and/or minerals, such as iron, zinc,  magnesium, B vitamins, selenium and vitamin D can leave the body depleted and not able to cope with tiredness.  We are here to help you to establish a nutrient dense diet and correct any deficiencies that may have arisen. Moreover, some foods may increase your fatigue, inflammation and pain levels. Removing identified intolerances or sensitivities and eating a well balanced diet will improve your energy levels.
