Scope of Practice

At North London Naturopathy, we operate in accordance with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and Association of Master Herbalists ethical framework.

Our code of ethics is designed to maintain the highest standards of excellence in Naturopathic practice.

We focus on the optimisation of physical and mental health, chronic health condition and preventive healthcare. We aim to understand the underlying causes of your health issues which we will seek to address through personalised naturopathic therapy, herbal prescription, nutritional and lifestyle advice. This approach allows us to work with individuals to address imbalances and help support the body towards maintaining health.

Naturopathy and herbal medicine are recognised as complementary medicine and are relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised treatment plans and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

We will never recommend naturopathic treatments as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ’red flag’ symptoms to medical professionals. With your consent, we will also be happy to communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in your care to explain any therapy that has been provided. Naturopathic advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment. We may recommend food supplements and/or functional testing as part of your naturopathic therapy programme. Recommendations will be tailor made to support health conditions or health concerns identified and agreed between both parties.
